The Project
S2N provided consulting and design-assist services, and is currently working on implementing the AV and security systems, for the Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA) in Costa Mesa, California, set to open in early October 2022.
OCMA is a 53,000-square-foot art museum with nearly 25,000 square feet of exhibition galleries and 10,000 square feet of recreational space for education programs, live performances, and public gatherings. The museum also features administrative offices, a gift shop, and a café.
This incredibly unique project blends state-of-the-art systems with outstanding architecture to deliver an amazing experience for museum patrons and facility management. Being a museum, the aesthetic component to the public-facing side of these systems was paramount and took heavy coordination with the owner and their teams to meet expectations of form and function. All systems are being placed onto the network, allowing for the majority of equipment to be housed in telecom rooms out of the public eye and ensure added security. With an AVoIP system, OCMA can cast media sources to anywhere in the building that has a network connection. To meet ever changing requirements by owners, administrators, and users, S2N is building integrated systems to address the challenging times of supply chain and material shortages, cybersecurity threats, and future-proof all systems.
